5/27/20 – COVID-19 Update

Dear Roller Derby Community,

Next week, the WFTDA Return to Roller Derby Guidance for COVID-19 will be released to our Membership and to those who have already requested access. Adherence to the guidance will be a requirement for our Member Leagues. We will continue to monitor the circumstances around the transmission of COVID-19 and will consider information that we receive from our Membership to ensure that our Guidance continues to be a useful tool for the roller derby community.

Member Leagues will be able to access the tool through their Skater Reps, and Non WFTDA Leagues and other organizations are encouraged to request a copy of the return to play guidance via the online form. 

We have enjoyed taking the opportunity to communicate with our Community each week, but as many decisions have been made around competitive play and the WFTDA Postseason, we will begin releasing communications as we have new information to share with the community. In the coming weeks, Members can expect communications concerning our upcoming Membership Renewal, and if there are changes to the WFTDA Return to Roller Derby Guidance for COVID-19.   Should any questions, ideas or feedback arise, please continue to direct those to covid19@wftda.com.

It is inspiring to see our values shine so brightly during such a turbulent time. There will be roller derby again, and it is because of our collective commitment to the safety of our athletes, officials, announcers, coaches and volunteers.
