WFTDA Rankings Algorithm Updated

The WFTDA Rankings Committee has updated the WFTDA Rankings Algorithm to better reflect the needs of our competitive system. Rankings are now calculated by taking into account all games played by all teams in a region using linear regression. With this change, new teams no longer need to play seeding games and can immediately sanction games.

WFTDA membership voted for implementation of the change to start with the August 1, 2025 rankings, and the WFTDA Rankings + Stats site has now been updated to reflect the change.
