Where can I find the new LMS site for Certification?
https://certification.wftda.org/

How can I access the courses?
You can simply sign up for an account and access all basic and Recognized/Level 1 Certification lessons for free from now on. Only certification tests will cost if you want to get certified, and they include the advanced lessons as a bundle to purchase.

Why did you change providers?
We can have more users in the new sites, and we don’t need any more reactivation emails! Your course enrollment might expire, but you can always re-enroll yourself. Easy!

We also will have more features and options for accessibility, translations and diversifying our content. Thinkific is constantly developing new and improved features, so we hope you will like the new site.

What happens to my course progress?
If you already completed all your courses, we downloaded a record of all course completions and test results on July 29th 2020.

What if I did not complete all courses and tests?
If you did not complete a course, no worries – you can re-do the course or the test in the new LMS. Your progress will not be migrated, but anything you completed by July 29th 2020 will be. If you have purchased the Risk Management course in the old LMS, but have not done the tests yet (or need to re-do them), you can fill out this form to get assigned to them in the new LMS.

Why did you change the payment wall?
Offering all basic and Recognized/Level 1 Certification courses for free offers more accessibility for anyone who just wants to do the basic introductory classes. If you then decide to get certified, the certification tests and the advanced courses will cost you $30, and can be purchased in one bundle.

Payment Structure:
The fee covers access to advanced courses and/or appropriate tests for Level 1, 2 and 3.

Enrollment is valid for 2 years. After 2 years, your enrollment in the courses and tests will expire, and you need to purchase the bundle again.

But I already paid for my Certification in the old system. What happens now?
If you have purchased the Risk Management course in the old LMS, but have not done the tests yet (or need to re-do them), you can fill out this form to get assigned to them in the new LMS.

How can I pay the fee?
Currently, PayPal is the only payment method set up, but we are working on new and more payment methods.

Why do I need to pay at all? Shouldn’t Education and Certification be free?
Ideally, yes. But we need to cover costs of the program and the technology.

I can’t afford the $30, what can I do?
The WFTDA has established the Bettie Mercury Officiating Scholarship Program in honor of Bettie, who was a strong advocate for officiating and dedicated countless hours supporting the WFTDA and local leagues with their officiating training.

Individuals who may have difficulty paying the LMS fee can request the Bettie Mercury Officiating Scholarship by submitting this form.

The WFTDA also encourages its leagues to develop a system for funding this cost for their officials.

I was in the middle of applying for Certification – now what?
If you were in the midst of applying for your Certification and the migration might cause you some delay or other difficulties, please get in touch with Certification@wftda.com.

What else is changing?
We also added 3 new courses from the Member Learning to the free courses, so make sure to check them out (these are not required for Certification). These courses are: Officials and Officiating in the WFTDA; WFTDA Code of Conduct and Grievances; and The Rules: Format, Committee and Revision Process.

We are also looking to offer courses and tests in other languages in the future. Until then, please check out the Accessibility & Translation information site.

Who can I contact if I have a question or problem?
